Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to individuals with diverse needs in a home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home health, or working with individuals with disabilities, including dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, and developmental disabilities. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents. The Live-In Caregiver will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those under their care through attentive and respectful support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive personal care including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations to ensure health status is maintained or improved
  • Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts; assist with heavy lifting when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
  • Observe and report any changes in health or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
  • Implement specialized care routines for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions
  • Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities as needed
  • Follow all safety protocols related to patient care, including CPR and first aid procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and follow personalized care plans for each resident

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
  • Certifications in CPR and First Aid required; additional training in hospice or dementia care preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
  • Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and recognize signs of medical emergencies
  • Experience operating mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts; capable of heavy lifting when necessary
  • Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety assessments
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills; ability to work independently in a live-in setting
  • Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation duties
  • Prior experience working within care plans and medication administration protocols is highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work long hours in a live-in capacity; reliable and trustworthy nature essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
