Boutique real estate development and property management company based in Beverly Hills is seeking an experienced Real Estate Bookkeeper to join our team. This candidate would oversee daily accounting functions for multiple entities, including managing payable and receivables for 60 apartment units and managing payroll.

Responsibilities

Handle books of accounts of multiple entities
Managing accounts receivable and payable, including monthly rents and vendor payments
Review general ledger balances and prepare journal entries
Submit year-end financial reports to outside CPA for tax return preparation
Prepare monthly bank account and credit card reconciliations
Issue tenant monthly rent statements
Deposit and post rent payments
Process payments for mortgage, distribution, management fee, payroll and other payables
Annual 1099 filings
Submit annual business tax renewals for various entities
Performing bank reconciliations, posting transactions, and preparing financial statements
Interact with tenants, service contractors and other third parties to complete tasks
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience and 3 years in real estate industry
Experience with Quickbooks Desktop
Proficiency in Excel
Proficiency in Tagalog preferred
Expected work hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in person
Must have car to commute to home office in Beverly Hills
This is a home-office setting
Not a remote job

Salary of $58,000 - $82,000 depending on experience
