Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in two commercial office facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in residential and commercial settings.
- Conduct floor care maintenance such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-kept.
- Execute custodial duties including restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to support overall cleanliness and functionality of the premises.
- Carry out industrial cleaning procedures when required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain equipment and cleaning supplies, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various surfaces.
- Knowledge of residential painting is a plus, enhancing the ability to maintain aesthetic appeal in facilities.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.
- Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
