Job Overview
MD's Homecare Professionals is seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly with those who require assistance due to age, illness, or disability. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring they receive personalized care and support in a comfortable environment. Each patient will have a set goal to achieve communicated by your team leader, admin or nurse. Everyday, you will be working towards achieving these goals with the patient. You will create and foster a trusting and caring relationship with the patient and their family.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including lifting clients when necessary.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities through direct support and tailored care plans.
- Engage clients in memory care activities to stimulate cognitive function and maintain mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving, home care, hospice care, or assisted living is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Experience with patients with dementia.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals that cater to specific dietary needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Physical ability to lift and assist clients as needed while maintaining safety protocols.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification in CPR or First Aid is beneficial but not mandatory.
You will provide us a schedule of availability and we will assign you multiple cases throughout the weeks and months. Our goal is to keep your schedule assigned with a patient. Understanding the nature of this position, we know that changes can occur and work can become unpredictable. After gradually building trust with one another, we will work towards providing you with a consistent schedule to ensure that you will continue to have patients to care for.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 120 per week
