Daly City Partnership is seeking a creative, compassionate, and experienced Lead Teacher to guide our Summer Enrichment Camp for TK–Kindergarten students. This position focuses on literacy development and kindergarten readiness, offering a meaningful opportunity to support the academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth of young children—especially those from underserved communities. Through a hands-on, engaging summer learning experience, you’ll help students build essential skills, foster social connections, and enjoy a fun, enriching summer. Skills Needed:
- Develop and lead engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of TK–Kindergarten learners, integrating creativity, play-based learning, and foundational academic skills
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom and camp environment
- Collaborate with the Director of Youth Development on curriculum planning and program design
- Track student participation and outcomes; support program evaluation and documentation
- Perform additional duties as needed to ensure a successful camp experience
- Strong classroom management, organization, and time management skills
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience working with children and families in educational or community settings
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Liberal Studies, Recreation, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience designing and leading structured programs for young children
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish; additional language skills (e.g., Chinese, Tagalog, Arabic) highly valued
- Familiarity with Daly City and surrounding communities
- Experience working with at-risk youth and/or low-income or marginalized populations
- Background in nonprofit or community-based educational programs
- Proactive and collaborative approach to program planning and improvement
- Perform a background check and work in safety-sensitive environments.
Schedule & Compensation
- Camp Dates: June 16 – July 19 (no camp on June 19 or July 4)
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 12:45 PM
- Orientation: One mandatory training session will be scheduled 1–2 weeks before camp begins
- Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on experience
