Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated House/Facility Manager to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care, support and life coaching to individuals with various needs, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to care of residents (4), with skills in behavior management and intervention plans, resident monitoring, and support for activities of daily living (ADLs).
Responsibilities
- Experience with supervision of DSPs, or a willingness to learn.
- Implementation of Behavioral Intervention Plans and Skill Program Plans.
- Experience collecting and analyzing data to develop and improve plans.
- Practical knowledge of licensing and operational guidance.
- Assist with staff scheduling and provide coverage for open shifts
- Demonstrated ability to multi task under pressure
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Prepare meals and snacks and perform light housekeeping activities
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
- Monitor clients’ health and behavior, documenting any changes or concerns in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs of each client.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
- Administer first aid or CPR when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care.
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a residential program setting for adults with intellectual disabilities..
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid California Driver’s License or California Identification card. No exceptions.
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen and TB test.
- Must clear the Department of Justice and FBI background check (background check information; https://cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care/caregiver-background-check/background-check) prior to being hired. No misdemeanors or felonies, unless you have an approved Criminal Record Exemption with CDSS.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including but not limited to; walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing 50 pounds or less repeatedly during a shift.
- Previous experience as a DSP or RBT is preferred
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
- Compassionate, respectful, and ethical
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid certification is highly desirable.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Experience in social work or related fields can be beneficial for effective client interaction.
- A compassionate demeanor with strong communication skills is essential for building rapport with clients.
