Job Title: Grants Coordinator
Starting Compensation: $48,000-$60,000 Depending on experience
Ideal Start Date: August 2025, with some flexibility depending on recruitment timing
The Filipino-American Development Foundation (FADF) is seeking a Grants Coordinator to support our mission by researching funding opportunities, drafting proposals, managing grant applications, and ensuring compliance and reporting for awarded grants, as well as supporting overall fund development activities. This role is key in cultivating and sustaining community and funder relationships, and ensuring the sustainability and growth of FADF’s staff and projects.

Primary Responsibilities
Grant Coordination (65%)
- Identify and research funding opportunities (foundations, government, corporate) aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Draft, write, and submit grant proposals, budgets, and support materials, ensuring adherence to funder guidelines and deadlines.
- Coordinate internally with program, finance, and leadership teams to develop applications.
- Track deadlines, maintain grant calendars, donor database, and proposal records/files on the shared drive.
- Manage awarded grants: oversee compliance, gather documentation, submit reports, and maintain funder relations.
- With the Senior Accountant, prepare financial and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Support Overall Fund Development (25%)
- In partnership with the Executive Director and Fund Development Specialist, create and implement an individual donor strategy.
- In partnership with the Executive Director, Board, and Fund Development Specialist, create and implement a capital campaign strategy to support facility improvements (i.e., Bayanihan Community Center and 457 Minna)
- With guidance by the Fund Development Specialist, maintain and manage existing fund development systems and tools, including the donor database (Little Green Light) and Foundation Directory Online (for prospect research).
Organizational Leadership & Support (10%)
- Actively participate in FADF-wide events, meetings and activities.
- Serve as an active member of FADF’s central team, contributing to our collaborative effort to serve FADF’s projects and our broader community.
- Support special projects as requested.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong written/verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience and qualifications.
- 2-3 years previous work experience in a community-based or nonprofit setting.
- Demonstrates a commitment to combating racial, gender, and class oppression in their organizational practice and participation.
- Exceptional time management skills, with strong ability to prioritize tasks on and between projects to consistently meet deadlines.
- Effective in a remote-first work environment; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with funders and donors.
- Strong tech aptitude and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems; capacity to quickly learn and utilize new systems; capacity to effectively manage files and collaborate within GDrive.
- Strong people skills; self-reflective, commitment to developing emotional intelligence, awareness of individual positionality as well as power in the workplace and in movement spaces. Ability to give and receive direct feedback.
- Physical requirements: ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time; ability to communicate via phone and email.
Workplace and Benefits
This is a full-time, hybrid position. Funder meetings are in person or zoom, including in-person site visits at various SF facilities. Starting in October, this role will be in-office twice a week, at 457 Minna, adjacent to our Bayanihan Community Center in SF’s SOMA district.
