Gould, Hahn, & Reinhardt, PLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented attorney with a strong background in employment law. Administrative law experience preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Representing professional and occupational licensees in proceedings before the Office of Administrative Hearings.
- Representing employers in wage and hour litigation and pre-litigation disputes.
- Preparing for and representing clients at Division of Labor Standards Enforcement hearings.
- Assisting clients with Department of Labor audit investigations.
- Advising small to mid-size businesses on employment matters including wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.
- Drafting and reviewing employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with California law.
- Conducting thorough legal research on nuanced employment law matters.
- Attending court hearings, mediations, and depositions as required.
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Collaborating with clients to address and resolve legal concerns and implement best practices.
- Remaining current on developments in employment law and relevant legal trends.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar in California.
- Federal admission preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years of attorney-level experience in employment litigation or admin law.
- Administrative law experience preferred but not required.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to client service and ethical practice.
- Spanish or Tagalog fluency preferred but not required.
