Position Summary
The Alameda County Business Development Coordinator is a field-based marketing and relationship-building role focused on increasing patient transport volume across Skilled Nursing Facilities, Convalescent Homes, Emergency Departments, and Hospitals within Alameda County. Acting as a boots-on-the-ground representative, this individual is responsible for generating new business, strengthening existing partnerships, and supporting overall market growth efforts in collaboration with the broader Operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with facility case managers, discharge planners, and administrators across SNFs, hospitals, and healthcare clinics.
- Identify and pursue new referral sources to increase ambulance transport volume.
- Act as the primary point of contact for accounts in Alameda County, resolving concerns and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to assigned facilities to promote services and maintain strong visibility.
- Coordinate closely with the Pre-Booking Specialist to align on scheduling opportunities and daily needs.
- Maintain detailed tracking of outreach, visits, leads, and conversions using CRM or other tracking tools.
- Support contract negotiation and onboarding of new facilities in collaboration with leadership.
- Provide weekly updates to Operations team on progress, volume trends, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare business development, marketing, or account management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with healthcare professionals.
- Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable with field work and travel within the county.
- Knowledge of the EMS, transport, or healthcare referral process is a strong plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish, Tagalog, or Chinese dialects) is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, data tracking, and reporting.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
